John Tiffany Selected for 2018 New Year’s Honors
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child director John Tiffany has had a huge year already, including having received an Olivier Award. Now, he can top that off with one final (and hardly insignificant) honor: BroadwayWorld reports that Tiffany is among those on the Queen’s 2018 New Year’s honors list!
The list is part of the British honors system and “recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom.” Tiffany is being made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to drama, and the letters “OBE” will now appear following his name to signify that he has received this honor.
Tiffany is in good company in this year’s list of New Year’s honors; additional honorees include actor Hugh Laurie and musicians Barry Gibb and Ringo Starr.
Congratulations to John Tiffany on being made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire! Here’s to a magical 2018!
