Evanna Lynch Brings “Disco Pigs” to the United States
If you missed a chance to see Evanna Lynch (Harry Potter‘s own Luna Lovegood) in Disco Pigs this past summer in London, fret no more! Lynch and costar Colin Campbell are reprising their roles during an Off-Broadway run in New York.
After their critically acclaimed run at Trafalgar Studios this past year, Lynch and Campbell are teaming up with New York City’s Irish Repertory Theatre to bring the show to the United States for a limited run. With previews beginning January 5 and an official opening night on January 9, Disco Pigs has a cast of only two, Lynch and Campbell, and the show’s performance marks the 20th anniversary of the premiere of the play. Written by Irish playwright Enda Walsh, the show is about two codependent teenagers as they celebrate their shared birthday and follows them as things spiral wildly out of control. Lynch previously spoke with MuggleNet about the play and the intensity of working in such a small cast – read our full interview here!
Disco Pigs runs through February 18 at the Irish Repertory Theatre, and tickets are available through its website. Also, be sure to check out MuggleNet’s review of Disco Pigs from Lynch and Campbell’s previous performances!
