This Magical Chocolate Easter Egg Can Determine Your Hogwarts House!
Easter can be even more magical for Harry Potter fans this year if they are able to get their hands on one of the most popular new chocolate treats of the season. Slattery’s, a UK Chocolatier, released a Sorting Hat-inspired chocolate egg as a part of its Easter collection so naturally, Muggles everywhere are hoping to find these eggs in their baskets this year.
The milk chocolate eggs are all identical on the outside but come filled with milk chocolate centers and contain a magical scroll that Sorts the consumer by revealing the name of one of the four Hogwarts Houses. The Sorting Egg is black with a gold lightning bolt on the front. It comes on a black base decorated with gold stars and a broomstick and is topped with its own miniature Sorting Hat.
Slattery’s Patissier and Chocolatier in Whitefield, Manchester, is selling the eggs for £14.95 each. Unfortunately, the eggs are handmade and very delicate, so they can only be picked up in-store and cannot be ordered online or shipped out. Due to the high demand for the eggs, the company is currently accepting preorders over the phone with a £5 deposit.
If the Sorting Egg isn’t enough magic for you this Easter, you can also pick up a few of Slattery’s other special eggs from this year’s Easter collection, including its beautiful unicorn and mermaid eggs, which are also selling for £14.95 each.
