Medusa’s Ankles is based on the short story of the same name by Man Booker Prize-winning author A.S. Byatt. The short film sees Issacs take on the character of self-centered salon owner Lucian, who is in denial about growing old and in search of his youth. Aging and the different ways in which it’s approached by men and women is a central theme of the film, which also focuses on the unique relationship between hairdresser and client.
Bonnie has spoken recently about how her experience on the Potter set helped inspire her love of storytelling. Adding to the Potter connections in Medusa’s Ankles, the film also stars Anna Shaffer, who played Romilda Vane in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!
