“Cursed Child” Wins Five Drama Desk Awards!

In April, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened on Broadway with great fanfare, which included nominations for eight Drama Desk Awards. Tonight, during the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards, Cursed Child took home five well-deserved honors.

John Tiffany won Outstanding Director of a Play, Neil Austin won Outstanding Lighting Design for a Play, Gareth Fry won Outstanding Sound Design in a Play, Finn Ross and Ash J. Woodward won Outstanding Projection Design, and Imogen Heap won Outstanding Music in a Play.

Cursed Child has also been nominated for 10 Tony Awards. The 2018 Tony Awards, hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles, will air live on CBS on Sunday, June 10, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
