Social Media Roundup: Congratulations and Celebrations!
There’s been a lot to celebrate since our last Social Media Roundup. Keep reading to find out what your favorites have been up too!
First up, a big congratulations to the cast and crew of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for their Tony Award success! Cursed Child won six awards on the night, including Best Play and Best Director (Jack Thorne). Before everyone made it to the ceremony, however, there was a bit of trouble in the wardrobe department for Sam Clemmett (Albus Severus)!

The cast and crew had a great time celebrating their well-earned awards!
It seems that despite their Tony success, some British members of the cast are still trying to get to grips with another American tradition, softball! Jamie Parker (Harry Potter) tweeted about an on-field collision he had with teammate Alex Price (Draco Malfoy) in their most recent Broadway League game.
Had a high speed discussion today over who should catch a ball in left field. Turns out it was @alexpriceactor. The fact that he actually did catch it, too, means my pride in the Whizbees is inflating to hot air balloon proportions.
We still lost. But, like, really well. pic.twitter.com/eOeeRGa67R

Away from Broadway, there’s also news to celebrate as Ellie Darcey-Alden (young Lily Evans) has graduated from high school. Congratulations, Ellie, from everyone here at MuggleNet!

Meanwhile, Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) has been working on her comedy show, Sunrise, which she will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer!
Please come to the @edfringe and see my show tickets are wildly available and it’s nice to be organised and book in advance for things isn’t it? ???????☀☀☀☀ https://t.co/weVqAruR9l pic.twitter.com/bcxgEgHXiR

In a galaxy not so far, far away, Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick/Griphook) has shared a fun fact about his character of Weazel in the Star Wars movies!
In the #StarWars timeline, the years between #Weazel appearing in #ThePhantomMenace and #Solo is almost exactly the same number of years that I have aged between the shooting of the 2 movies. #LifeImitatesArt Have you got an exact figure for that @pablohidalgo? pic.twitter.com/wfr3sWRpso

Finally, J.K. Rowling warmed everyone’s hearts when she responded to a tweet from a fan. After sharing his story of being a broke single parent who uses Potter to bond with his daughter, Rowling not only responded to the tweet but also offered the father–daughter duo a set of signed books. We’re not crying, you’re crying…
.@mattburkephoto The gifts you’re giving your daughter are priceless and I’m truly honoured that Harry & co are playing a part. DM me your address for a set of signed Potters x https://t.co/EAcIKvwJwb
