First Glimpse of Rupert Grint as Inspector Crome in Agatha Christie’s “The ABC Murders”!
In May, we reported that Rupert Grint would be starring in a TV adaptation of The ABC Murders, one of Agatha Christie’s famed mystery novels starring the character Hercule Poirot (played by John Malkovich). Now we have our first glimpse of Rupert in character, looking suave as Inspector Crome!
Set in the 1930s, The ABC Murders tells the story of a group of investigators who are trying to track down a serial killer who leaves a copy of The ABC Railway Guide at each of his crimes. Rupert’s character, Inspector Crome, was once a friend of Agatha Christie fan favorite Hercule Poirot but doubts the abilities of the aging detective.
Rupert was spotted in Yorkshire, dressed in a 1930s-style suit with a pair of bright pink sunglasses, which we’re sure are more to do with the sunny weather than Inspector Crome’s character!
Rupert was also seen wearing the staples of many fictional detectives, a long brown coat and a hat!
The ABC Murders is set to run in three parts and will air on BBC in the United Kingdom and will be available on Amazon for fans in the United States. There is no air date for the series yet, but we can’t wait to see Rupert in action in this series!
