Events Roundup: Halloween Happenings
Halloween is the perfect time of year for Harry Potter events! This roundup we’re covering a library transformation and a Halloween bar crawl with a special twist.
Hogwarts Open House and A Night at Hogwarts
Teton County Library in Wyoming will transform into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for just one day this October. Hogwarts Open House will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on October 20, and it is free and open to all ages. Anyone is welcome to visit the school, get sorted by the Sorting Hat, attend classes, and wander through the Forbidden Forest. Costumes are highly encouraged.
Later that evening, an exclusive event will be held for only the first 80 applicants. A Night at Hogwarts is a free event for children ages 8 to 17. Those attending will get to hang out with other Harry Potter fans at the Leaky Cauldron and take a trip through the Forbidden Forest. The night also promises to be full of other unexpected surprises. To register, visit the youth library desk.
Harry Potter Halloween
An awesome Harry Potter Halloween event is coming to San Antonio! The Boulevardier Group, which manages multiple San Antonio bars, is uniting four local bars for a bar crawl–style Halloween party. Each bar will represent a different House and offer a special drink menu.
The Brooklynite will host Gryffindors, and Slytherins can meet up at Still Golden Social House. Ravenclaws should head to Rumble, and Hufflepuffs will be among friends at Paper Tiger. There will be a shuttle service so “students” can travel between the Houses if they choose. The event will take place on October 25 from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and the shuttle service will end at 2:30 a.m. Don’t forget your robes, wand, and of course your ID! Find more details here.
