New “Origin” Trailer Debuts at New York Comic Con
Harry Potter alumni Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) are reunited as they star alongside each other in the highly anticipated YouTube Originals series Origin. A new trailer for the series debuted at an exclusive Origin panel during New York Comic Con 2018.
This action-packed intergalactic space thriller follows the story of a group of people who are trying to escape their past lives on Earth for a new beginning on planet Thea. A company called Siren is in charge of the colonization process, offering to send this group of strangers to the newly discovered planet via an impressively high-tech spacecraft. When they wake up on Thea, their past will have been erased completely, giving them the opportunity for a fresh start.
Both Felton and Tena appear frequently in the trailer, but we don’t know much about their individual characters. The trailer makes it clear that their trip to Thea does not go at all according to plan. The passengers wake up to find that they’re still on the ship and the crew has completely abandoned them. The group is left to fend for themselves, quickly realizing that “one of them is far from who they claim to be.“
The ten-episode series, from the producers of both The Crown and Lost, is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. All ten episodes will be released on November 18. To watch Origin, you must subscribe to YouTube Premium, a service that offers an ad-free experience, access to all of the YouTube Original series and movies, and music streaming.
