Newt and Theseus Sibling Rivalry Uncovered in Newest “Crimes of Grindelwald” Clip
A short clip from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has surfaced on the Internet showing Theseus Scamander in hasty pursuit of his younger brother, Newt Scamander, our beast-loving Hufflepuff hero, and Tina Goldstein, Auror to MACUSA and the object of Newt’s affections.
The clip, first posted on Comic Book, gives us the most detailed look yet at the new character, Theseus, played by Callum Turner, and his relationship with Newt.

In the clip, we see Newt and Tina being chased through what appears to be the French Ministry of Magic, or the “Ministère des Affaires Magiques de la France.” (Oui!)
Theseus is running and shouting at them to stop and blasts a bunch of boxes at them that float in midair. Tina then retaliates by binding Theseus to a chair, ending with Newt exclaiming in pure sibling rivalry fashion:
That might have been the best moment of my life.
I’m sure we will find out more about the Scamander brothers’ relationship in much more detail in the film, which will be delving deep into Newt’s complicated past with his brother’s fiancée, Leta Lestrange.
With this new clip, there is many a theory to consider! What do you think will happen with Newt and Theseus’s relationship in this film? Are you intrigued as to what Leta Lestrange contributes to the feud? Aren’t you glad they both got the floppy hair gene? Let us know!
