“Crimes of Grindelwald” Actors to Star in “Game of Thrones” Prequel
Winter is coming. Preproduction for the much-speculated prequel to Game of Thrones, the hit HBO series based on the books by George R.R. Martin, is in the works.
A new casting list has released the names of eight young actors who will be starring in the series with Oscar nominee Naomi Watts (King Kong, The Impossible) and Josh Whitehouse (Poldark, Alleycats). Not one, but two familiar faces from the wizarding world will be appearing in the upcoming chapter of stories linked to Game of Thrones. Jamie Campbell Bower (young Gellert Grindelwald) and Toby Regbo (young Albus Dumbledore) have joined the cast in unidentified roles.
The pilot, developed by Jane Goldman and author George R.R. Martin, will be set thousands of years before the Game of Thrones series and recount the Long Night during the Age of Heroes.
From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend, only one thing is for sure: It’s not the story we think we know.
