Wizarding Worlds Collide: Daniel Radcliffe on “2 Dope Queens” with Jessica Williams
Wizarding world eras collide when Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) visited 2 Dope Queens with Jessica Williams (Professor Eulalie Hicks) and Phoebe Robinson.
During the show, Robinson and Williams demonstrated their own unique takes on wandwork. Robinson’s style was reminiscent of Lauren Lopez’s Draco Malfoy performance in A Very Potter Musical.
Radcliffe agreed that Robinson’s wandwork is top-notch.
That was awesome. If you’re tired, that means you’re doing it right. That was excellent. I liked the energy and just how many people you seemed to ‘get.’ And also, great camera awareness. I think you hit all of them. That was impressive.
After Robinson’s performance, Williams was forced to step up her game. She does play an Ilvermorny professor, after all. When Radcliffe asked her if the wand she was using was the same one she used in the Fantastic Beasts films, Williams revealed that she is currently in the process of designing her own wand for Professor Hicks.
This one? No, not this one. We get to design it. It’s all happening. It’s all happening.
Radcliffe seemed surprised by this revelation.
You get to design your own? Wow, things have really changed. Although, to be fair, you wouldn’t ask an 11-year-old kid. They wouldn’t have asked me, ‘What do you want?’ And I would’ve been like, ‘Flames down the side!’ No. That would not have been good.
