First Look at Evanna Lynch in “The Omission of the Family Coleman”
A fantastic absurdist-comedic play, The Omission of the Family Coleman documents the natural conflicts and tensions of familial relationships as they arise from common hardships like death, mental illness, child-raising, and more. Running at the Royal Theatre in Bath, England, through April 27, the newest version of Claudio Tolcachir’s production will be directed by Laurence Boswell, an Olivier Award winner. The play will star notable actors such as Anne Kent, David Crowley, Robert Mountford, Natalie Radmall Quirke, Rowan Polonski, and Evanna Lynch, who is best known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series.
Detailing the lives of “three generations of the dysfunctional Coleman family [who] live under one roof on the verge of chaos, held in check by their matriarchal grandmother,” The Omission of the Family Coleman was originally an Argentinian play but according to a review by Dominic Maxwell at the Times, now has a distinctly Dublin feel. It follows the struggle for emotional and physical survival in the wake of the family’s safety-net grandmother’s death.
Excitement for The Omission of the Family Coleman is building, with Evanna Lynch’s performance set to delight fans and first-look images only adding to the thrill. Tickets can be purchased through the Theatre Royal Bath website.
