Bonnie Wright Joins Greenpeace as an Oceans Ambassador
As Earth’s oceans become increasingly plagued by plastic pollution, environmental activists are essential in preserving the future of our world. Harry Potter’s Bonnie Wright, who is a passionate advocate for the reduction of microplastic waste in Earth’s waterways, has now joined Greenpeace once more, this time as an oceans ambassador.
Last year setting sail on Britain’s River Wye to assist in conducting the largest ever survey of plastic pollution in United Kingdom waterways, Wright has been using her voice in the fight for environmental change for some time. Now, as she strives to continue her work, she has reflected on her experiences working with Greenpeace.
As Wright exercises her role as Greenpeace oceans ambassador, she has stated that she will work toward the implementation of a United Nations global oceans treaty, whereby she hopes at least a third of the world’s oceans will be protected by ocean sanctuaries.
Wright’s dedication to positive change is an important step toward a healthier world, where marine life will be protected from plastic pollution and aquatic biomes can be preserved.
