“Harry Potter: Wizards Unite” to Hold First Community Day on July 20
Witches and wizards of the world, get ready! Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will have its first Community Day event on July 20.
While we don’t know many details about the upcoming event yet, what we do know comes to us from Newsweek. The magazine looked beyond the announcement of the event on the game’s official Twitter account and over to some of the fan theories that are brewing on the Internet. (We at MuggleNet can’t resist a good fan theory either, so we want to get to the bottom of this.)
Some fans have expressed their hopes for the event, which include “increased spawns for severe or emergency Foundables.” Others are hoping, writes Newsweek, that the event won’t be limited to a few hours in duration.
We already know that Wizards Unite has an in-person fan festival coming up in Indianapolis, Indiana, later this month, and the Simon Property Group is looking to get in on the Foundable fun. Could partnerships with locations or brands in the real world come into play?
It looks like we might have to wait for more details from Niantic, but its Pokémon GO game also hosts Community Day events. From a website for the upcoming Pokémon GO Community Day on July 21, Niantic has some more information.
Get out and play together in your local community parks on Pokémon GO Community Day. For just a few hours each month, you can encounter a special Pokémon in the wild. During these hours, there’s a chance to learn a previously unavailable move for that Pokémon or its Evolution, as well as earn some Community Day bonuses. Celebrate what it means to be a part of the Pokémon GO community and make new friends along the way!
That event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Niantic also encourages players to find others in their area through social media channels such as Facebook, Discord, Slack, and WhatsApp.
Will the Community Day for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite be similar? Could we see new Foundables or ingredients popping up? We can’t wait to find out!
