Tom Felton Set to Star in Netflix’s “A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting”

Tom Felton has been a busy guy. Not only did he make everyone incredibly happy when he got a role in the Flash series in 2016, but he also stars in the new film Ophelia, which was released in theaters on June 28. Now, he is set to grace our screens once again in a brand-new Netflix series.

The new series is titled A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting. Netflix has announced the cast, which includes Tamara Smart (who will be starring in Disney’s Artemis Fowl), Ian Ho (A Simple Favor), Oona Laurence (Pete’s Dragon), Indya Moore (Pose), Alessio Scalzotto (Rim of the World), and Tom Felton.

The show will be based on the first book in the series by Joe Ballarini. The story follows Kelly Ferguson, who is a first-time babysitter. The child she’s supposed to look after gets kidnapped by the Boogeyman. While she tries to get the child back, she discovers that there is a secret society of babysitters who actually make it their job to protect children from an entire world of monsters. Ferguson soon finds out that she is going to have to fight more than just the Boogeyman to get the child back.

The series will be directed by Rachel Talalay (Dr. Who, Riverdale, Sherlock) while Ballarini will be adapting his own story for the screen.

It’s not yet known what role Felton will be playing – we can only speculate for now. We don’t know whether he’ll be a babysitter or one of the monsters. It would be kind of cool if he plays the Boogeyman, though, because we love Felton when he’s not playing nice.
