A Replica of the Flying Ford Anglia Signed by “Harry Potter” Cast and Crew Has Been Stolen
We all know and love the blue flying Ford Anglia that stole our hearts in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Most of us would give our right arm for a ride in it. As it turns out, one person decided to keep his arm and just steal the car.
A replica of the Ford Anglia was reported stolen from a garage in Station Road, Walmer, in the United Kingdom. We all wish that it had actually just turned invisible of its own accord, but that is sadly not the case. Its owner, Steven Wickenden, went to the garage on October 20 to get a tire pump from the car. He found the garage door unlocked and the car gone without a trace.
Wickenden said that it “is devastating,” adding that he’s not sure exactly when the car was stolen since he last secured it in the garage last Monday. The car has brought joy to many – Wickenden hires it out to people for themed weddings, birthday parties, and even fun days and the filming of movies. He’s even used it for local fundraising events. The car is clearly dear to him and everyone in the community.
What makes the car even more special is that Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) have both been in the driver’s seat before, and it even features some signatures from the Harry Potter cast and crew. To top it off, it also has a cage with a replica of Hedwig in the backseat, just like in the film.
The culprit has not been caught yet, but Wickenden says that members of the community have been of some help.
I have heard that a postman saw a young lad driving the car, and the lad asked him for directions to Dover. He then went racing off down the street.
While this information is helpful, it still doesn’t provide enough details to find the car, and the exact day of this encounter is still unknown. Police are currently doing their best to find it. A spokesman for the Kent Police said that no arrests have been made yet.
We are investigating a report that a blue Ford Anglia was stolen from a garage in Station Road, Walmer. The vehicle is believed to have been taken between 3.15p.m. on Monday 14 October and midday on Sunday 20 October 2019. At present it has not been located, and no arrests have been made.
The news of the stolen car has traveled far and wide. Even Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) has tweeted about it, calling his followers to action with the caption “Find the car!!!!” It sounds like the older Weasley brother is just as upset by the car’s disappearance as we are.

The police encourage anyone who has any information about the theft to please call the Kent Police at 01843 222289 quoting reference number 46/201939/19. Witnesses can also contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111, or fill out the anonymous online form on the charity’s website.
Hopefully, the car will be found soon and returned to its owner. We can’t believe that someone would do something like this. If you want a car, get some Galleons and buy your own one, damn it!
