Is Toyota Building a Real-World Nimbus 2000?
Toyota unveiled a slew of futuristic new designs at the Tokyo Motor Show, including an e-broom that has us intrigued.
Toyota states that the design of the new product comes from the concept of a witch’s broom.
Experience first-hand mobility of the future! Modeled after a broom used by a witch to fly through the air, this mobility platform integrates people and machines, allowing users to reaffirm the enjoyment of mobility.
But is it really a broom if it doesn’t actually let you fly through the air? The product is designed with a wheel at the bottom and a fringe to give it the appearance of a broom, but it appears to be made for use with roller skates.

Although certainly more high-tech, this e-broom doesn’t get you any farther off the ground than Muggle quidditch. Then again, if Toyota is focusing on e-broom technology, maybe an airborne version is in the not-too-distant future. What do you think? Would you go for a roll on Toyota’s e-broom?
