Holiday Gifting Has Come to “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite”

If you have played Pokémon GO, then you will already be familiar with the new gifting feature coming to Wizards Unite. When you enter greenhouses, inns, and fortresses, you will be able to find brightly colored boxes filled with exciting surprises to send to your friends.

The color of the gift box indicates what kind of gift you’ll be giving and receiving. Blue boxes will contain spell power, yellow boxes will contain runestones, and green boxes will contain potion ingredients. Each color box will only be found at one location. For example, blue boxes will only be found in inns. If you’re looking to send a specific kind of gift each time, you need to keep an eye on the corresponding location.

Since these boxes are gifts, you cannot open any of the gifts you find yourself. In the spirit of the holiday, you have to give gifts you find to one of your Wizards Unite friends! There are also a few other restrictions. You can only hold 100 gifts at a time, you can only give 10 gifts per day, and you can only give one gift to any particular friend every 24 hours.
