Daniel Radcliffe Gets Candid on the Pressures of Fame
We can always count on Daniel Radcliffe to be refreshingly honest in interviews, and a recent interview he gave while promoting his film Playmobil: The Movie is no exception.
Daniel spoke candidly about what it’s like to be approached by fans while he’s just out living his life.
I’m not going to lie and say that every single time somebody asks me for a picture and has come up to me, that I’ve always been smiles about it. Most of the time I am. It’s just the gym, where I get very annoyed.
Of course, he reassured his fans that most of the time, he genuinely does enjoy meeting them; it’s just overwhelming at times. We can’t blame him at all. Being in the spotlight for so long is bound to get tiring.
Daniel also spoke briefly about his thoughts on Duchess Meghan Markle while promoting his TV series Miracle Workers, saying he feels “terrible” for her.
I am now picking up that Meghan Markle is being treated to the full force of the British media and all of that stuff, which I can only imagine. That’s why I was always like, ‘Man, you must…’ That’s why I always thought their relationship was sweet, because I was just like, ‘She must love you if she wants to get involved in this crazy life. ‘Cause it must be insane. I cannot imagine… What I have and what I went through is a fraction of what they had and went through, and they went through it from birth. They didn’t even get ten years, like I did. So I can’t imagine what that life must be like. So while I’m not into the institution of the monarchy, I have a huge amount of respect and empathy for them.
We can always count on Daniel to be up-front and honest in his answers about dealing with fame. We can’t want to see what 2020 has in store for him!
