Rowling said that she only had a few pages left of the fifth Cormoran Strike novel, her 13th in total. She jokingly added that, had she not come to New York to accept the award, ”I would have finished it this week.”
The last Cormoran Strike novel, Lethal White, was released on September 18, 2018. No information about the fifth book has been released at this time, not even its title. The first three novels in the series, The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil, were previously adapted into the television miniseries Strike, or C.B. Strike in the United States.
