J.K. Rowling and Emma Watson Preferred for British Prime Minister
J.K. Rowling and Emma Watson have been named on a list of celebrities whom Britons would prefer to have as their prime minister. According to the website MyLondon, 2,000 British adults were polled to find out which celebrities they would rather have running the country, conducted as part of television channel Sky’s promotions for the new political drama series Cobra.
Not just content with celebs running the show, almost half of the people quizzed felt they could do a better job running the country than those they have elected to run the government.
Meanwhile[,] four in 10 people thought their chosen celebrities would be a more trustworthy choice than actual politicians in power.
And in case any of those listed are getting some ideas, one in five said they would vote for their celeb against any politician they were up against.
The list included Stephen Fry, narrator of the British versions of the Harry Potter audiobooks, in second place. Rowling came in tenth place, with Watson coming in thirteenth. Lenny Henry, the voice of the shrunken head in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, came in eighteenth place.
