J.K. Rowling Officially Completes Fifth “Cormoran Strike” Novel
After some speculation late last year that the book had been completed, J.K. Rowling has confirmed her completion of the fifth book in her Cormoran Strike series of novels, which are published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
Rowling previously addressed the status of the upcoming novel during the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Gala in New York City on December 12. During her acceptance speech, she noted that, had she not come to New York to accept the award, ”I would have finished it this week.”
The official announcement came via a tweet from Rowling.

No additional information was included in the tweet, and it appears that Rowling edited her photograph of the manuscript to hide its title. She referred to the book only as “#Galbraith5” in her celebratory message.
The last Cormoran Strike novel, Lethal White, was released on September 18, 2018. The first three novels in the series, The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil, were previously adapted into the television miniseries Strike, or C.B. Strike in the United States.
