Wizarding World of Science Spring Break Camp at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History in Corpus Christi, Texas
The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History will host the Wizarding World of Science Spring Break Camp from March 9 through 13. The camp will last from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. The first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. The pricing for individual days is $55 per person. The pricing for the full week for members is $180 and for non-members is $200.
Special Picnic Screening of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at Moonlight Cinemas in Several Locations in Australia
Moonlight Cinemas is hosting an extra-special picnic screening of the third Harry Potter film. This will take place on March 19 across four locations in Australia – Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Fans are encouraged to dress up for this event.
Harry Potter Wand Choreography Classes at the Harry Potter at Myer Store in Melbourne, Australia
Paul Harris, the wand choreographer for the Harry Potter films, will be teaching Wand Combat Choreography masterclasses in Melbourne from March 20 through 22. The classes will be free, but you must register for tickets in advance. Tickets are limited to two per person.
ACE Comic Con at the Northeast Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts
Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, and Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, will both make guest appearances at ACE Comic Con in Boston, Massachusetts. They will appear on March 22. Photo ops, autographs, and VIP packages are available for both Grint and Wright.
Spontaneous Potter – a Harry Potter Comedy Show – at the Corn Exchange Newbury in Newbury, UK
Corn Exchange Newbury will host a Harry Potter comedy show on March 27. The show is called Spontaneous Potter and is performed by an improv group. For the show, the audience will be able to suggest a fan fiction title, and the actors will come up with a storyline to match the title. The improv show will be accompanied by live music.
The Great Philadelphia Comic Con! at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Great Philadelphia Comic Con! will host two Harry Potter stars – Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy, and Miriam Margolyes, who played Professor Pomona Sprout. The event will take place from April 3 through 5 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.
Sci-Fi Scarborough at the Scarborough Spa in Scarborough, UK
The Sci-Fi Scarborough convention will be held on April 4 and 5 at the Scarborough Spa. Simon Fisher-Becker, who played the Fat Friar in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, will make a special guest appearance at the convention.
Harry Potter–Inspired Wands, Spellbooks, and Signs Workshop at the Bulkington-Village Community Centre in Bedworth, UK
The Bulkington-Village Community Centre is hosting a crafting workshop for children called the Harry Potter Wands, Spellbooks, and Signs Workshop. The event will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 8. If you would like to attend, you can email theartanddesignroom@yahoo.com and reserve a spot for a £5 deposit. The full cost is £20 per child.
Indiana Comic Convention at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana
Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, will make a special appearance at the Indianapolis Comic Convention. Autographs and photo-ops will be available for $80 each and payable with cash only. The convention will be from April 10 to 12, and Felton will be there on April 11 and 12.
A Harry Potter–themed Ballet at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Delaware
Choreographer Michele Xiques Arnold was recently awarded the Delaware Division of the Arts fellowship for choreography and dance. With her prize money, Arnold will create a Harry Potter–themed ballet. The show will be performed on April 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Delaware.
Potted Potter at the Concrete Playground Sydney in Sydney, Australia
Everyone’s favorite Harry Potter parody show, Potted Potter, will travel to Sydney, Australia, this May. From May 19 through 31, Potted Potter will be performed in the evenings on Tuesday through Saturday and in the afternoons on Saturday and Sunday. Get your tickets soon, before they sell out!
