Daniel Radcliffe Donates Signed “Harry Potter: Page to Screen” Book to Help NYC Bar
Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, has donated a piece of his very own Potter merchandise in support of New York City’s Club Cumming, whose staff and talent have been hit financially by the coronavirus outbreak.
The popular bar hosts many drag and cabaret shows and is owned by actor Alan Cummings, who was recently performing alongside Radcliffe in Endgame at the Old Vic in London until the show was suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak. An online auction, Club Cumming Community Chest, has been set up so that supporters of the club can bid to own a piece of merchandise from famous stars or have the chance to go on special experiences.
Radcliffe has donated his very own copy of Harry Potter: Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey, and he describes the book as “the best, most interesting thing out there that you can possibly read if you’re interested in the films and how we made them.”
The book will also be signed by Radcliffe, and all the proceeds from the book will be given to the Club Cumming Community Chest.
Bidding ends on Thursday, April 30, when the book will go to the highest bidder on the auction’s eBay page.
The Club Cumming Community Chest fund has been set up to help the staff and talent of the club who have been hit the hardest financially during the COVID crisis. You can find out more about the appeal and how to donate on its official website.
