Discover “Cormoran Strike” This April in Robert Galbraith’s Official Read-Along
If you’ve never read the Cormoran Strike novels written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith, then now is the perfect time to begin!
The official Robert Galbraith site has recently begun a read-along this April for the first novel about veteran war hero turned investigator Cormoran Strike.
The Cuckoo’s Calling sees investigator Cormoran Strike and his new assistant, Robin Ellacott, investigate the mysterious death of a troubled model. Read the synopsis below:
When a troubled model falls to her death from a snow-covered Mayfair balcony, it is assumed that she has committed suicide. However, her brother has his doubts and calls in private investigator Cormoran Strike to look into the case.
Strike is a war veteran – wounded both physically and psychologically – and his life is in disarray. The case gives him a financial lifeline, but it comes at a personal cost: the more he delves into the young model’s complex world, the darker things get – and the closer he gets to terrible danger . . .
For those of you who are conducting your book groups virtually since the coronavirus outbreak, the official site also includes five reading group questions. Readers are also encouraged to join in discussions with other participating readers by using the hashtag #StrikeReadalong on Twitter.
