Daniel Radcliffe Kicks Off Harry Potter at Home “Philosopher’s Stone” Read-Through
Harry Potter at Home and Wizarding World Digital have today announced a very special read-through of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which will be read chapter by chapter by very famous faces from the Wizarding World. To kick things off, they’ve started with none other than Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe!
Radcliffe has started the read-through by reading Chapter 1 of Philosopher’s Stone, “The Boy Who Lived.”
Daniel Radcliffe reads the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone, as part of Harry Potter At Home. Look out for more special video readings in the upcoming weeks.
You can either watch Radcliffe read the first chapter online via the Wizarding World Digital website or listen to an audio-only version on Spotify.
Besides being able to read or listen to each chapter, every time a chapter is released, there will be extra activities to participate in. The official site is asking fans who create fan art based on interpretations of famous scenes to send them in by using the hashtag #HarryPotterAtHome and tagging @WizardingWorld on Twitter.
Wizarding World Digital has also promised that the fun will keep coming, with new quizzes, puzzles, and extra challenges being posted on its Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages over the next few months.
A few of the famous narrators have been confirmed via a tweet from the Wizarding World Twitter account. Expect to see/hear a chapter from Stephen Fry (narrator of the Potter audiobooks in the United Kingdom), Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), and English footballer David Beckham, to name a few.
