“Fantastic Beasts” 3 Could Begin Filming in July
Due to the pandemic, countless films had to halt production, including the third installment in the Fantastic Beasts series. There is now a new bill in the United Kingdom that could change everything! ComicBook.com has more details about this bill and shared what films might resume or begin filming in July.
Production was set to begin on Fantastic Beasts 3 in mid-March but was quickly placed on hold after COVID-19 began changing regulations and guidelines. The Guardian had an inside source share additional information about this new bill:
This is a green light that signals that the UK is open for business again for film and high-end TV production. Many productions have to get up and running again in the next two months or they won’t get made this year as they rely on summer weather and conditions.
This new bill, drafted by the British Film Commission and British Film Institute, will include rules on social distancing, safety training, and temperature tests. The document has been approved by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, Public Health England, and the Health and Safety Executive. The decision to restart filming will ultimately be left up to each production team. Warner Bros. has several different films that have been affected by the pandemic and will resume production when it’s safe to do so.
