Four Magical Ways to Safely Celebrate Harry’s Birthday
Harry Potter’s birthday is coming up soon. Normally, I get together with a bunch of friends to celebrate. Unfortunately, this year that isn’t possible, and I’m sure that many of you are in the same boat. Here are a few ways to safely celebrate Harry’s birthday.
Movies
When I want to spend some time in Harry’s magical world, I often find myself reaching for my Harry Potter DVDs. The movies are a great way to immerse yourself in Harry’s story while getting to sit on your couch. Have a movie night with yourself or invite your roommates to join. What better way to celebrate a birthday than by marathon-watching all eight movies?
Rereading the Books
We don’t get to see a lot of Harry’s birthdays in the movies, but they show up in each book. Why not reach for your favorite Potter book and reread it? If you’re feeling really adventurous, you can even reread the whole series. Spend Harry’s special day reliving each moment. There’s truly nothing like a Harry Potter reread. I feel like my interpretation of the books changes each time that I read them.
Food
Celebrate Harry’s birthday by making some of Rosmerta’s Recipes. They’re delicious and are sure to make any meal feel like a party. These butterbeer cupcakes are my favorite thing to bake, and you can’t go wrong with a good treacle tart. Of course, butterbeer is a requirement at any magical celebration; luckily, we have many different recipes that involve this special drink.
Crafts
If you’re a creative person, then you might enjoy making some Potter DIYs. Make some floating candles to brighten up your movie night. Do you need a mug to hold your butterbeer? We’ve got you covered. Take some time on this special day to get creative and really show your love for Harry Potter.
