Celebrate Back to Hogwarts with “Journeys to Hogwarts” Audio Experience from Pottermore Publishing
September 1 is coming up soon, and we’re all excited to celebrate back to Hogwarts! What better way to do just that than with an immersive Harry Potter audio experience right from the comfort of your own home?
Pottermore Publishing has created this magical, unique experience that you’re not going to want to miss. This experience, Journeys to Hogwarts, is completely free. All you have to do is sign up or log in to the Harry Potter Fan Club and you can listen immediately!
The sound technicians at film and broadcast postproduction facility Molinare, some of whom worked on the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, along with the music composition of James Hannigan are responsible for the immersive audio, which helps you fall right into platform nine and three-quarters. All you have to do is press play, close your eyes, and take in the magic as you travel with the Hogwarts Express.
The title of this experience is Journeys to Hogwarts – as in multiple journeys. This means that you’ll be a part of not just one but several of Harry’s moments on the Hogwarts Express. These moments will come from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. You’ll meet up with all the characters that you’re familiar with, including Hermione, Ron, Neville, and many more.
As if this experience couldn’t be any more magical, it also includes some special cameos. Excerpts from the narrations of both Stephen Fry and Jim Dale, the UK and US audiobook narrators, respectively, will be included. There will also be book dialogue included featuring cast members from the cast of the West End’s production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Be sure to check out Wizarding World Digital’s official event lineup for the weekend leading up to Back to Hogwarts! The festivities will kick off on August 29 with the Harry Potter Film Concert Series from around the world. The weekend leading up to September 1 will be filled with other magical events including a Bertie Botts Challenge with the Cursed Child actors who play Harry and Draco, wand combat with Paul Harris, and more. There will even be a listening party for Journeys to Hogwarts on August 30.
