Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Closes Due to Small Backstage Fire
If you’re in Universal Orlando this week and looking to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, you just may be out of luck. On Tuesday, August 11, there was a small fire in the backstage area of the ride.
The fire took place in the behind-scenes equipment cabinet for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Fortunately, it was quickly and easily extinguished with the help of the Orlando Fire Department. There were no injuries, and all guests were escorted away from the ride.
The ride is currently still closed because of the fire, but Universal Orlando has announced that team members are working to reopen the ride as soon as possible.
Once the ride is reopened, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will continue practicing the park’s previously established social distancing measures. Guests are required to wear masks while on the ride and will only be seated in every other row.
Since Universal Orlando reopened in June, there have been minimal wait times for all rides including Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. The park has been operating at limited capacity ever since its reopening on June 5, which helps with the CDC-recommended social distance of six feet. Are you hoping to visit Universal Orlando Resort again soon?
