New LEGO “Harry Potter” Collectible Minifigures Series Is on Its Way
It took LEGO two whole years to do it, but the company has finally done it. For all the Potterheads out there who love LEGO, or who are looking for little figurines to grow their merchandise collection, LEGO’s Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures Series 2 will be rolled out very soon!
Thanks to the Brick Fan, we’ve got a good look at the 16 figurines in the series, including some pretty unique ones. Kingsley Shacklebolt, Moaning Myrtle, Ginny Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Bellatrix Lestrange (clad in her Azkaban outfit), Professor Sprout (with her shrieking mandrake), Griphook (with the prized sword of Gryffindor), Lily Potter (carrying baby Harry), and James Potter will all be making their debuts as minifigures. Certain fan-favorite characters will be returning too: Luna Lovegood will be sporting her lion hat, Neville Longbottom will be struggling to contain his Monster Book of Monsters, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley will both be enjoying a cup of butterbeer, Harry Potter will be reading his copy of Advanced Potion-Making, and Professor Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets version) will be tending to Fawkes.
According to LEGO’s online catalog, the minifigures will hit shelves in September, although unverified rumors claim that they are already available in select countries, such as Romania.
The Series 1 minifigures were so adorable that we’ve been clamoring for more ever since their release. Now, two years later, Potterheads’ wishes have finally been granted. We’re eagerly counting down to September and hope that the figurines are well worth the wait. Are you excited to get yours?
