Wizolympics 2020: Expedition Wandless Day 13
Today is Day 13 of Expedition Wandless, and I am Kingsley Blackthourne from the Daily Prophet, reporting on the Tokyo 2020 Wizolympic Games.
Dora Carnabey of Australia appeared jealous of her brother, Daniel, and his natural origami skills. Dora attempted to make an origami kangaroo, but it looked more like a used tissue. No points were deducted because Daniel tried to coach Dora. Who knew the twins could be so civil toward each other? Mom Bridgette appeared to be so proud of her kids during this show of teamwork, and Team Australia heads toward the finish line.
Since the last update, Team USA visited an additional seven temples, bringing its total to an impressive 30. The team members did have to hitchhike in the back of a truck carrying fish, so if you ran into them, they might have had a peculiar scent – if only they could Scourgify themselves. Alas, this is Expedition Wandless. Feeling like they have done enough and could really use a wash, the Americans decide to head to the finish line.
The Germans, however, are still swimming in wine with no new achievements to their name. What is their motive, you wonder? I have no idea – if only I were a Legilimens. They only had one surviving Tamagotchi last we saw them, and with all the time they’ve spent in the wine, I expect that little critter has been either drowned or forgotten. If they don’t complete the required task of keeping one alive, they may be out of this race for good.
Team Australia and Team USA ran into each other in the Harajuku district of Tokyo. They ran in opposite directions trying to figure out how to get to the stadium. It looks like it is a foot race to the finish line! Lucky for the United States, Thomas Takechi was able to get a taxi to drive Team USA to the stadium. Oh no! Takechi and his teammates forgot about the charms and enchantments on Kahaku Dome. Their driver took them to Tokyo Dome and they wasted ¥1,500. They abandoned their driver and ran across town to Kahaku Dome.
Dora and Daniel of Australia were bickering about which way to go, and their mom, Bridgette, had to intervene, costing them valuable time. Team Australia makes it to the stadium and is fifth to cross the finish line, earning an additional 3 points. Team USA saw Australia cross the finish line and was visibly distraught. The Americans crossed the finish line right behind the Australians, awarding them -4 points.
Will Team Germany cross the finish line? I sure hope so. This is Kingsley Blackthourne from the Daily Prophet, signing off from the Tokyo 2020 Wizolympic Games.
