Head Back to Hogwarts Building Contest Is Happening Now with LEGO Ideas
LEGO Ideas has officially kicked off a new building contest called Head Back to Hogwarts. The company wants you to build your favorite scene where everyone returns to Hogwarts.
You can build your masterpiece digitally or physically. The deadline to enter is October 8, 2020, at 6 a.m. ET. The grand prize winner of this contest is going to get some amazing LEGO Harry Potter merchandise in the form of the following LEGO Harry Potter sets: 75966 Hogwarts Room of Requirement, 75967 Forbidden Forest: Umbridge’s Encounter, 75968 4 Privet Drive, 75969 Hogwarts Astronomy Tower, 75978 Diagon Alley, 75979 Hedwig, and 75980 Attack on the Burrow, as well as a digital download code for all the Harry Potter films and LEGO Harry Potter Magical Treasury: A Visual Guide to the Wizarding World (with exclusive Tom Riddle minifigure) book. There will also be two runner-up prizes. These winners will receive 75969 Hogwarts Astronomy Tower, 75979 Hedwig, 75980 Attack on the Burrow, and the LEGO Harry Potter Magical Treasury: A Visual Guide to the Wizarding World (with exclusive Tom Riddle minifigure) book. These are too good to miss out on!
LEGO Ideas suggests submitting your work 2–3 days before the deadline of October 8 in case changes need to be made. The judges will review all entries and choose the winners on October 20. The grand prize winner and runner ups will be announced at LEGO Ideas no later than October 27.
Which scene will you choose to build? Will it be Harry and Ron getting caught in the Whomping Willow or will it be the first time Harry sees Hogwarts as a first-year student gliding through the lake? You get to choose and make this piece your own. LEGO Digital Designer is a great tool to help build your idea virtually. Once you complete your piece, take up to five photos of your creation from different angles to show off those special features, and then submit it. For all rules and regulations and where to submit your entry, visit the LEGO Ideas website.
This is an exciting contest! What scene are you going to be creating? Let us know!
