Social Media Roundup: Gotta Get Back to Hogwarts
Welcome back to another edition of MuggleNet’s Social Media Roundup! Get ready to catch up with some of your favorite Wizarding World stars as they reminisce about their Hogwarts days, share some exciting news, and promote their latest creative projects.
September 1 is an important day for Potter fans all over the world. As well as taking part in Wizarding World Digital‘s Back to Hogwarts celebrations, some Potter alumni took to social media to share their own memories of their Hogwarts days.
Bonnie Wright posted a throwback to her first year at Hogwarts. Posing with some of her on-screen brothers (Rupert Grint and James and Oliver Phelps) and fellow Gryffindor Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan) in a behind-the-scenes photo from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Bonnie reminded her followers to take part in the virtual Back to Hogwarts celebrations.
Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) also posted about his involvement in the Back to Hogwarts celebrations and even made up a word, “muggletastrophe.” We’ll definitely be using that in the future!
This morning, I don’t need to leave home to go #BackToHogwarts with a whole load of like-minded death eaters and, unfortunately, a bunch of irritating Weasleys. Come and forget the muggletastrophe for a while. https://t.co/B0umF6tHoZ

Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) was getting in the magical spirit a few weeks before September 1 when he posted this photo of Alnwick Castle, a filming location used in the first two Potter movies.

We went here many years ago. No flying broomsticks today though. #alnwickcastle #PartofHogwarts
And Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) celebrated September 1 by getting nerdy about some of the smallest details in the Harry Potter series.
Which is awkward, as the first public railway didn’t open until 1825…🧐 https://t.co/7HNB85GVTs

Away from all the Back to Hogwarts posts, Scarlett Hefner (Pansy Parkinson) was also celebrating. She and her husband, Cooper, welcomed their daughter to the world on August 25. Many congratulations from everyone here at MuggleNet!
At 5:23pm this afternoon Scarlett and I welcomed our daughter Betsy Rose Hefner into the world. We are overwhelmed with gratitude, love and joy. pic.twitter.com/WxIIKsWJfR

Matthew Lewis’s latest television series, All Creatures Great and Small, is currently being broadcast in the United Kingdom. He will appear in the series next week, so make sure to tune in! Fans in the United States will have to wait until January 2021 to catch the show on PBS.
I don’t think I show up until next week but well worth watching anyway… I suppose. 😉😘 https://t.co/QkfSoKwsDH

Continuing a reoccurring section for Social Media Roundups, which we’re thinking of calling “Tom Felton and His Four-Legged Friends,” Tom Felton shared a photo of himself with an adorable spaniel puppy.
As much as he loves hanging out with man’s best friend, Tom also enjoys spending time with people! In fact, James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) shared pictures from a recent golf trip that they took with Tom and some friends. Does this count as a mini(golf)Potter reunion?
Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) recently launched her new podcast, We Can’t Talk About That Right Now, in which she sits down with her sister to discuss “all the things that they probably shouldn’t.”
Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) has been promoting his new movie The Argument, which is now available to watch on demand.

Also promoting a new release was Jamie Campbell Bower (young Grindelwald), whose band, Counterfit, released its latest single on September 4. While promoting the song, Campbell Bower also shared his appreciation for… dentists? Hermione’s parents would be happy!
S/O dentist’s tho cos you guys really are amazing and I love you x

While a number of Wizarding World stars are starting to return to filming and other pre-pandemic projects, some are still having to wait to return to work. Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick/Griphook) revealed that his popular television game show, Tenable, is hoping to return to filming in November.
We just have to clear the vortex of COVID, then we’re good to go, hopefully in November. https://t.co/Ej49uwNlsO
