Review: “Harry Potter” 2021 Planner and Washi Tape from Con*Quest Journals
The new year is around the corner, and if you’re like me, you’re hitting the end of your yearly planner. If you’re looking high and low for a new magical planner to fit your witch or wizard aesthetic, look no further!
Con*Quest Journals creates journals, planners, stationery, and stickers to help keep Harry Potter fans like myself organized and on-brand. Today, we’re going to be focusing on their washi tapes and their 2021 Hogwarts planner.
Con*Quest Washi Tape
First up is the washi tape. There are eight rolls with four different themes. The washi tapes are sold in sets of two (one 15mm and one 5mm roll), or you can purchase all eight together. There are four themes: potions, Honeydukes, the Marauders Map, and celestial Houses. All eight washi tapes are made even more magical with a touch of glitter.
Each washi tape set has exquisite details to match its theme. The potions set features a bubbling cauldron on one roll and the words “Polyjuice Potion” in cursive on the other. This set will help you channel your inner Snape or Slughorn.
If you’re more of a sweets person, the Honeydukes set is for you. The Honeydukes set features the classic Honeydukes logo along with frogs, candy, and lightning bolts on the other roll. I can almost smell the shop just by looking at this set!
For those with a mischievous side like Fred and George, you’ll want to pick up the Marauders Map set. The Marauders Map set features footprints along one roll, and on the other, the famous line, “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
The last set (and probably my favorite one) is the celestial Houses set. This roll features a picturesque night sky on one and the Hogwarts Houses in the form of constellations on the other. I don’t know about you, but this set helps me channel my inner Trelawney.
Finally, let’s talk about the 2021 Planner. This planner has everything you need to stay organized in the new year. The planner is a 7” x 9” spiral notebook with a hard cover. It includes an elastic strap for closure, a bookmark, and tabs that allow you to quickly navigate through the months. It also includes four sticker sheets to help you decorate and customize your planner.
The first few pages of the planner help you put your best foot forward for the new year. There are pages to help you set your goals and reminders for the year. For the monthly sections, each section has the following setup: to do/important dates, a month overview, weekly planner pages, and an end-of-the-month reflection page. On the month overview page, you’ll not only find important dates and holidays featured, but also the birthdays of Harry Potter characters. This planner has 200 pages, so you’ll have more than enough space to fit all your plans for the new year.
As with all of Con*Quest’s products, they make sure that there are magical touches on each and every page. The cover of the planner not only features the Hogwarts crest, but it also features different potions and spells. This theme is also reflected on the monthly planner tabs. My favorite part, however, is the listing of the Harry Potter characters’ birthdays. Not only is it SUPER helpful for me as a staff member at MuggleNet, but it’s also made even better with an iconic detail for that character. This planner makes sure that you feel the magic with each turn of the page!
