Social Media Roundup: Listen Up and Celebrate Women
Welcome back; it is once again time to see what some of the Wizarding World stars have been up to in the latest edition of MuggleNet’s Social Media Roundup! During the past two weeks, a Harry Potter actor has hit 16 billion – yes, BILLION – views on a social media platform, mothers and women were celebrated, and more.
On March 8, International Women’s Day took place, with this year’s theme being “Choose to Challenge.” Whether it is challenging inequality, sexual harassment, gender bias, domestic abuse, or stereotypes, raise your hand to join in and choose to challenge. So let’s celebrate the women we know and admire in our lives, like the ones below.
Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) shared two charities, Orchid Project and Women’s Aid, that help women and children.

Adding his voice to the Say Something challenge from One for the Boys, a charity dedicated to ending the stigma around men’s health, was Harry Potter actor and podcaster James Phelps (Fred Weasley).
I'm taking part in the #SaySomething challenge for @One4theBoys . Say something about how you've been recently, anyone you want to give a shout out to and why. Anything.

Tragically, on March 16, eight people, six of whom were Asian women, were killed in a mass shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. Taking to social media and imploring people to stop racism and not be silent with the hashtag #StopAsianHate were Gemma Chan (Ya Zhou), Katie Leung (Cho Chang), and Claudia Kim (Nagini). Our condolences go out to the friends and families of those who were killed.
