I have always been a collector of currency. I have a frame in my home that features coins from over 40 countries, and while I sadly haven’t visited most of them, I find the variations in the styles and weights and metals to be so endearing and interesting. Luckily for me, Gringotts also makes coins (and bills and gold bars…), and I consider it a very high honor and privilege to have a few in my growing wizard bank collection.
I recently added Squatch Shop’s gorgeous carved wood wizard’s bank sign to my collection, and I am so excited! It is the perfect piece to round out my shelf and really helps my collection pop. It’s made of solid wood, presumably carved with a laser, and has been hand-stained and detailed. It feels really nice in the hands – not light or cheap, but it has a nice heft. My only issue was that the hole on the back for hanging wasn’t sufficient, so I have it leaning on my shelf instead of hanging beneath it as I had planned. No big deal, though – it looks great!
Additionally, it smells amazing, which I know sounds weird, but freshly cut wood would definitely be one of the scents my Amortentia would possess.
