Actor Kevin Guthrie, who played Abernathy in the Fantastic Beasts series, has received a three-year jail sentence after being found guilty of sexual assault. He has also been placed on the sexual offenders register indefinitely.
Our sources within production confirmed the report from Deadline that Guthrie will not be appearing in Fantastic Beasts 3, despite his role being previously listed on IMDb. Warner Bros. declined to make a statement when we reached out to them for comment but additionally confirmed that Guthrie will not appear in the third installment of the franchise.
MuggleNet stands in solidarity with anyone who has experienced sexual assault of any kind. We have stopped all coverage of Guthrie on our site and social media outlets.
