Universal Orlando Resort: Merchandise Updates
Anyone who is visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort any time soon should be sure to visit the Islands of Adventure Trading Company because there’s new Harry Potter merchandise!
Islands of Adventure Trading Company stocks “the best selection of souvenirs from Universal’s Islands of Adventure,” and it is now the home of Spirit Jersey-style shirts (not official Spirit Jersey branded, just styled similarly) that feature the iconic Hogwarts Houses from the Harry Potter film franchise.
On the front of the shirts, you’ll find each House’s Hogwarts crest on the left side of the chest. The arms feature two stripes on each sleeve in the House color, adding to the sporty look of the shirts, and on the back is the House name, embroidered with a striped pattern of the House colors.
Unfortunately, only Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff shirts are currently available, although a team member has confirmed that the Gryffindor style will be released very soon.
In other merchandise news, there have been price changes to the Harry Potter wands sold at Universal Orlando Resort.
Back in May, Universal Orlando Resort relaxed its rules on mask-wearing outdoors, leading to visitors flocking for a day of fun, and while the parks are going (somewhat) back to normal, the prices are not remaining the same as they were pre-COVID-19.
The wand experience at Ollivanders has recently increased in capacity, allowing more people in each room, and while standard wands previously cost $49, the prices have increased to $55.
In addition, interactive wands have jumped from $55 to $59, and limited-edition collectible wands have increased to $75 from $70. The online prices of the wands have also gone up.
Will you be showing your House pride and picking up a Hogwarts House shirt next time you visit Universal Orlando Resort? What are your thoughts on the price increases for wands?
