Experience the “Harry Potter” Film Franchise This September at the Mehr! Theater, Hamburg
The Mehr! Theater in Hamburg, Germany, home to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is opening its doors for a magical September, where it will be showing Harry Potter film events over the course of the four weekends.
The Mehr! Theater is currently closed due to COVID-19 and is set to resume performances of Cursed Child on December 5. While fans wait for its reopening, they can immerse themselves back into the Wizarding World during the month that celebrates Back to Hogwarts.

All eight Harry Potter films will be shown over the course of the four weekends in September: Watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on September 4 and 5. Then continue the magic the following weekend on September 11 and 12 when Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be shown.
Over the weekend of September 18 and 19, fans can immerse themselves into Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, followed by the final two installments of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Parts 1 and 2 on September 25 and 26.
The movie events will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the Saturdays (with an entry time of 6:00 p.m.) and 4:00 p.m. on the Sundays (with an entry time of 3:00 p.m.).
The films will be shown in front of an enchanting backdrop, and the evenings will be filled with magical surprises. While at the Mehr! Theater, you’ll be able to purchase magical items at the merch stand and take part in Harry Potter quizzes and may even get the chance to meet some of the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
On top of this, those who arrive at the film events in Harry Potter costumes will be given the chance to take part in a competition to secure tickets for the reopening of Cursed Child in December!
Throughout the September showings, there will be COVID-19 rules and regulations in place: Visitors must register using the LUCA app, and a negative COVID-19 test that took place in the last 48 hours along with its identification document must be shown. It will also be mandatory to wear face coverings while in the theater, which can only be removed when eating or drinking.
