Oliver’s Brighton Receives Its Ninth Award

Oliver’s Brighton has become a well-known and beloved shop for Harry Potter fans across the world, whether it be because of its owner’s, Oliver Dall, charity work, or its range of magical snacks, drinks, and gifts. Did you know, however, that the shop won eight awards in the first three years it was open? Well, the shop has now received its ninth award overall and its first of 2021!

Among the store’s existing titles are Brighton and Hove Business Awards 2019 Best Independent Retailer, SME News Business Elite Awards 2020 Best Souvenir Retailer – Brighton, and Tripadvisor 2020 Travelers’ Choice. Recently, the shop retained its title as South England Prestige Awards’ Gift Shop of the Year. This marks the second time the shop has won this title in as many years.

Oliver’s recently expanded to include its very own Honeydukes, selling sweets from across the wizarding world. The sweet collection also covers several other fandoms and stocks candies from all over the globe. Alongside scrumptious sweets, Oliver’s also sells everything a budding witch or wizard needs, from replica wands to Hogwarts robes. If you’re feeling really adventurous, you could also purchase a broomstick or a variety of games.

Despite all the awards the shop has won and the delights it sells, you might only recognize the shop’s name from Dall’s charitable work. He’s donned his Dobby costume twice, once to walk a marathon and raise money for a local hospital and most recently to hop into a rowboat and raise money for an LGBTQ+ charity. With all this and the shop’s magical wares, we can see why it has won so many awards!

Congratulations to Oliver’s Brighton for winning its ninth award. We can’t wait to see how many more the so-called “secret wizarding shop” will win in the future!
