“Potter”-Themed Coffee Shop in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, Is Serving Magical Treats
We know how much Potter fans love a magical-themed establishment, so here is another to add to your list. If you love a good beverage and live near Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, head to Muggles’ Mug, a traditional coffee shop with a wizarding theme.
Owner Kacie Carissa had been “inspired by all the coffee shops that contributed to her degree.” Taking that inspiration and combining it with her love for Harry Potter, Muggles’ Mug, a small and friendly shop run by Potter fans, was born.
With all sorts of magical treats on offer, why not try a specialty latte, such as Pop-Up Potion, Mandrake Maple Draught, Deathly Hallows, or a butterbeer? You will also find plenty of traditional Muggle beverages.
Potter-themed food is also available. Grab yourself some Chocolate Frogs, Owl Pops, Chocolate Wands, or even a Chocolate Peanut Butter Dragon Egg, which sounds both appealing and intriguing. Muggle food is available too, including quiche, specialty scones, Pop-Tarts, and muffins. There is also a good selection of vegan alternatives.
There is a handy online ordering system on the Muggles’ Mug website. You can even choose a specific time to collect your goodies.
Muggles’ Mug sure sounds like a friendly, atmospheric place to be, whether you dine in or take out. If dining in, there are plenty of Potter items to peruse and couches to get comfy in. It’s a cozy place to curl up to watch any of the eight Potter films that can be found playing on a big screen or even to sit and imagine that you are in your House common room. The coffee shop is dog-friendly, so feel free to take your canine companion with you.
Muggles’ Mug also often plays host to many different events. Unfortunately, there are no upcoming events, but customers have enjoyed movie nights and open mic nights, to name a few, in the past.
Since the coffee shop can get busy and the days and times that the shop is open can vary, make sure you check the shop’s Facebook page before you visit to avoid disappointment.
