Enter LEGO Ideas’s Contest for a Chance to Win 20th-Anniversary “Harry Potter” Sets
This year, the LEGO group has been celebrating its 20th anniversary of Harry Potter LEGO, releasing several 20th-anniversary sets throughout the year, and now LEGO Ideas is giving you the chance to get your hands on some of them by entering a magical contest.
The contest involves making a magical creation either out of physical bricks or using a digital building tool.
This year, we’re celebrating two decades of LEGO Harry Potter, and what better way to mark that occasion than with a contest! We’re looking for a magnificently magical creative build that celebrates everything you love about LEGO Harry Potter! To make it festive, we challenge you to include the number 20 somewhere in your build, big or small.
Make sure you show us the number in one of the photos you submit in case it’s a magically hidden detail.

The winner will take home 76386 Hogwarts: Polyjuice Potion Mistake, 76387 Hogwarts: Fluffy Encounter, 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets, 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition, and 76394 Fawkes, Dumbledore’s Phoenix.
Two runners-up will also receive 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition, along with 6232944 Limited Edition Minifigures.
A panel of judges (which will consist of members of the LEGO Harry Potter team) will choose the winner and two runners-up based on overall coolness and originality, most inspired details, relevance to contest theme, and best use of LEGO elements. Each category is worth 25% of the overall score.
If you have a magical idea and would like to enter, all you have to do is take up to five photos of your creation and submit them, ensuring all angles and special features or functions are shown off in the images. Add a title and short description, and upload your entry to the contest.
Don’t forget to read the full rules and FAQs before entering, and you can also view all the submissions so far.
The contest is currently in its submission phase. If you want to take part, be sure to build and submit your entry before it closes on October 6, 2021, at 6:00 a.m. EDT (it’s recommended that you do this a few days before the deadline in case LEGO decides to return it to you for any changes).
The judging phase will then commence, where the entries will be reviewed and the winner will be chosen by October 21. The Grand Prize winner and two runners-up will be announced on LEGO Ideas, no later than October 28. Good luck!
