Gryffindor Dormitory Rumored to Be New Gift-with-Purchase LEGO Set
We have returned to the LEGO rumor mill with another exciting Harry Potter possibility. Based on Instagram speculation, Brick Fanatics is reporting that we may soon see a new LEGO set of the Gryffindor boys’ dormitory from the Harry Potter films.
According to Brick Fanatics, this set is rumored to be a gift-with-purchase set, also known in the LEGO fan community as a “GWP.”
Instagram user ac_bricks_03 is reporting via 1414FalconFan that another GWP is on the way later this year, with a new take on the Gryffindor dormitory from Harry Potter rumoured to be on offer. None of the reports mentioned in this article has been confirmed by the LEGO Group, so take anything you read with a sensible amount of caution until an announcement is made.
Additionally, Brick Fanatics writes that the set is reportedly called 40452 Hogwarts Gryffindor Dorms and that it could feature minifigures of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.
Reportedly, the GWP will be on offer from October 25 to November 7 as a gift given away with Harry Potter purchases over $100 during the promotional period. The LEGO Group has produced a set based on the dormitory before, with 4472 Gryffindor House combining the boys’ sleeping quarters and the common room, including a design depicting the painting-covered entrance.
No photographs of the rumored 40452 Hogwarts Gryffindor Dorms set were available at the time of publication from either of the Instagram sources cited by Brick Fanatics, nor has the LEGO Group confirmed that this set is anything more than a social media rumor. Nevertheless, we are certainly interested to see if this new gift-with-purchase set will become a reality in the near future.
