Join the Magical Mischief in “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery”
New chapters and creatures have found their way into Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. If the mysterious black cat that’s been hanging around Hogwarts and the jack-o’-lanterns don’t get you in the Halloween spirit, we don’t know what will. There’s a lot to unpack since our last update, so let’s dive into it.
Chapter 20 of Year 7 is up to play. Chapter 19 had us searching for a way to bring Fang into St. Mungo’s to help with Hagrid’s homesickness. Since animals aren’t allowed at St. Mungo’s, it’s up to us to create a clever disguise and convincing story. Tall tales are no feat for a Curse-Breaker like us. After a completely adorable transformation of style from Andre, Fang is in wizard’s clothing masquerading as a human whose transfiguration went horribly wrong. Hagrid’s mood instantly lifts when he sees his buddy, and Madam Strout is impressed by our progress. The chapter ends with a dire emergency involving someone we’re close to.

After dealing with the drama of St. Mungo’s, some Quidditch might help take your mind off things. The last few chapters of Quidditch have had us working on three important aspects that every member of the team should have to achieve balance: body, mind, and heart. Our team has mastered the first two aspects, and now it’s time to strengthen the heart. It’s up to us to get every team member to realize why they love Quidditch. This is the key to achieving balance, and we’re tasked with some large shoes to fill. Are you up for it?
Our next opponent doesn’t stand a chance after everything our team has gone through to be at the top of their game. Have you all been utilizing the “skip” button during Quidditch friendlies? This new feature essentially takes off half the time to complete a friendly. We’re pretty pumped about this.
Okay, let’s get to the cute stuff now. A new creature side quest made its way into the game, and the adorableness that is the matagot has some of us wanting at least ten running around our homes. This magical creature that can look like a sweet black cat in its friendly form was found “terrorizing” Mrs. Norris. We quickly found out this is the matagot’s way of being friendly. After several miscommunications, wands were drawn on the matagot, and it’s caused quite the ruckus. Like any creature lover, we’re working on gaining the matagot’s trust and proving to the school that it’s truly just a misunderstood creature.
There’s a lot going on in Hogwarts Mystery with so many chapters and quests to complete. With cooler weather making its way to a lot of us, this is the perfect reason to cuddle up in your favorite Potter blanket and get caught up. If you need us, we’ll be figuring out how to domesticate a matagot.
