Ahead of “Return to Hogwarts,” More Revelations Emerge from “Potter” Alumni
With a film series like the Harry Potter series, it’s hardly a surprise that a lot goes on behind the scenes that audiences don’t know about. According to numerous articles on the upcoming reunion special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, viewers can expect lots of reminiscing.
While we certainly can’t cover everything that made its way into the special already, considering that it doesn’t hit HBO Max until January 1, we do have some idea of what fans will be able to see. From bringing up the long, shaggy haircuts (or lack thereof) seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to Daniel Radcliffe’s admission that he once wrote a love letter to Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), there are sure to be a few moments that leave fans laughing. At the same time, it seems that the cast didn’t shy away from revealing tougher moments – including Emma Watson’s hesitancy to continue with the film series.
On another poignant note, it has been revealed that the reunion pays tribute to the cast members who have died since filming their roles. Among those mentioned in an article from Digital Spy are Alan Rickman (Severus Snape), Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy), Sir John Hurt (Garrick Ollivander), and Richard Harris (Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets).
A post from BroadwayWorld shows a few additional stills from the special, while this video from ET Canada below goes behind the scenes.
