Spend 2022 Digging Deep into the Magic with the “Promptly Potter” Podcast
Here at MuggleNet, we spend a lot of time consuming Harry Potter content in all its forms: books, films, memes, fan art, fan fiction, theories, song parodies, games, merchandise, and more. But sometimes it’s nice to return to your roots.
What better way to start off the year than to go back to where it all began?
Sure, we’ve read the series more times than we can count, but there’s always something special about it, something we never realized or felt before, and something particularly wonderful about going through it with other people, sharing thoughts and feelings along the way.
We know life can get in the way when all you want to do is cuddle up with your book and escape to the wizarding world for hours on end, so we’re going to take our time and spread our reading over the entire year, accompanied by a bite-size podcast called Promptly Potter.
Every other day, and every single day in April, we’ll post a discussion question for each chapter on our social media outlets so you can tell us and your fellow readers what you’re thinking. Alongside these prompts, there will be a podcast episode completely dedicated to that chapter’s prompt.
In 15 minutes or less, hosts alternate each episode to flex their critical analysis muscles, break down the chosen prompt (not to be confused with the Chosen One), and give their take on some of the most interesting and puzzling aspects of the wizarding world.
Here is when each reread begins, if you want to read along with us:
- January 1, 2022: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
- February 4, 2022: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- March 12, 2022: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- April 12, 2022: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- June 6, 2022: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- August 21, 2022: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- October 20, 2022: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
We’re excited for you to join us as we dive back into book club-style analysis, ask the tough questions that keep you up at night, and ask you to consider aspects of the series you never gave much thought to before.
Listen on Audible or wherever podcasts are streamed, and then join us on social media using the hashtag #PromptlyPotter to participate in the discussion!
