Sparks Are Flying for the Month of Love in “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery”

by Brittany Bennett · February 11, 2022

The romantic side of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is heating up. With Valentine’s Day on Monday, we’re falling head over heels for the new updates and other sweet treats in-game.

Let’s get right into the romance going on right now in Hogwarts Mystery. Have you logged in the last few days and gotten started on the special adventure Ticket to Love? We highly suggest you do so you have your shot of helping Gilderoy Lockhart and secure your chance of earning an invite to a Valentine’s Day party as well as a romantic evening for two on the Hogwarts Express. This exciting adventure leads us to the Burrow, and we learn about love from one of the most iconic couples in the wizarding world.

If we had a chocolate heart for every date we’ve been on in Hogwarts Mystery, well, let’s just say we could give Honeydukes a run for its money. A lot of our characters are in Year 7 at Hogwarts, and maybe it’s time to take that step and make it official with your date of choice. With the new romance update, we can! We can now make these relationships exclusive and open up new activities to further these relationships and earn new rewards. We all understand it’s not always the right fit, so if you’re finding yourself in need of space, you can break up and start again with someone new.

Don’t go breaking too many hearts now. If we have to see Penny Haywood sad one more time after the fiasco with her sister in Year 5, it’ll be too soon. Something that will make your heart soar is the adorable pet looks available now to show your cat how much you love them. The black collar with pink hearts and white Xs is the purr-fect choice for your feline friend, or if you’re feeling a little bit edgy, the purple and black-striped option with silver hardware might be the best choice.

Some of you might not have an interest in the romantic side of the game, so let’s get into the story line. New chapters are up for play since our last update, and we have our work cut out for us. Using Legilimency, we read Madam Xeep’s mind and have a lead. We’re then informed that a follower of “R” named Burke has infiltrated St. Mungo’s. After defeating Burke in a duel, he gets away with someone known as the Director. We know that “R” is still hot on our trail, and a suggestion from Professor Dumbledore kindles the thought of reuniting the Circle of Khanna – will our friends be on board?

Want some more treats? Keep an eye on the Hogwarts Mystery social media channels starting on Monday to find gifts from a secret admirer, and be on the lookout for a new creature side quest involving the Leucrotta.

Sparks are flying this month. Which update are you most excited about?
