“Harry Potter”-Themed Golf Experience Available at Two New Locations
Sports are familiar to wizards and witches all over the globe. Quidditch is to the wizard community what soccer is to many Muggles. Nevertheless, in the past, non-magic people did not use to be able to experience the magical atmosphere that is part of the game. However, things are different now. There are two new places where you can go with your family members or friends to dispute an enchanted golf match.
The first one is Hole in Wand, based along the promenade in Blackpool, England. Each visitor plays nine holes at different sceneries inspired by the wizarding world: a library, castle, train station, and forest. At the end of the visit, your score will determine your abilities and you will earn a wizarding drink. The length of the experience depends on the number of players – around 45 minutes for two players and around an hour and 15 minutes for six players. Tickets for this location will be available this May. However, if you prefer, there is already a Hole in Wand opened at Coppergate Shopping Centre, in York, England. The tickets price starts at €6.99. Nonplaying carers and children under three don’t pay.
The second one is Potion Putt in San Francisco, California. There you can find themed rooms full of references to the Harry Potter universe. Two of them are Merlin’s Emporium and an area with a giant spider that reminds us of Aragog. The price to play nine holes varies between $18 and $19.08. According to the Mercury News, visitors can drink butterscotch beer, alcoholic libations, and cocktails. As a result, those who are under the age of 21 cannot stay after 5 p.m. Tickets are available now, and you should visit by April 30, 2023, because after this date, like Hermione and Harry’s tent in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it will be taken to a new place.
In order to be part of the experiences Hole in Wand and Potion Putt offer, you have to schedule a time beforehand, but it would be an enjoyable activity for the summer or even for the weekend.
